Happy New Year! We hope that everyone is getting a healthy and happy start to 2008!
We had a really busy holiday break! Since Mason is still on lock-down, we hosted Christmas at our house. Having a holiday is one thing, but doing it with a baby who has special needs makes things very hectic. We survived and had a great Christmas day. Our family was very supportive and a HUGE help! Everyone brought dishes to pass and we had a very nice Christmas! Thanks for all of your help! I have added some of the photos to the Photo Gallery.
Mason is still doing very well. Just before Christmas he weighed about 12 and 1/2 pounds. This was about a 1 lb gain in 2 weeks! If he keeps gaining like this, he will catch up to the growth curve in no time!
We have been playing lots on the floor and he has shown a lot of physical improvement. He can roll himself over just by grabbing onto a finger and pulling. He is close to being able to do it himself! He is also tasting more baby foods. I will just call it tasting, because he does not yet eat any sizeable amount. So far we have learned that he does not like applesauce and is not very fond of pears either. He seems to like bananas and sweet potatoes. I think he has my sweet tooth! Next week we will be starting with a sippy cup. Mason is still not taking any bottles and is just "munching" them. Given his age, his therapist thinks that it might be a lost cause at this point. Hopefully the sippy cup is more successful!

What's up dude! What did you think of Santa? Zane tells me that I have to be good all the time now. I don't really like my bottles either but the food is pretty yummy. Our parents just won't give us what we really want though, we keep trying to tell them "Steak and potatoes!" Oh well, maybe when we get teeth? How do you like your g-tube? I am plotting the removal of mine if only my mom would leave the room for more than a minute...
Happy New Year!
